The genre my group has chosen is Indie Pop, a genre of alternative rock music. We have chosen this genre as we feel that it is relatively open but with resrach into the genre we will discover the codes and conventions included in the genre.
The genre originated in the UK, mid 80's. Artists such as Lily Allen, Florence and the Machine and Arcade Fire all fit into this genre.
