Front Cover

Image

The image on the front of the CD includes a image of a cat. This does not show us if the artist is a band or an artist, however the name of the band is evident. The image has a vintage effect layered on top of it and has a very quirky feel to it. The image of the cat doesn't seem harsh but like it could be taken by anyone making the band seem more down to earth and approachable.

Copy

The name of the band is written in a large font so even though the band is not featured on the cover it is still evident who the band is. The text fits in well with the image allowing the background image to be seen. The album name is in the same font but smaller at the bottom of the cover connoting that the name of the album is not as important as a band or artist.

Target Audience

The image's vintage effect makes it seem targeted at young adults and the dark colours connote the band consist of males but is not a boy band making it approachable to both males and females. 

Inlay

The inlay for this album could not be found

Back Cover

The back cover uses the same font as the front cover linking them together. The track list is also in the largest front making the song names stand out making pre-released song recognizable to the costumers. It also includes the band and album name along with producers. The background is blank unlike the front cover.

Video;

Image

The opening images in the video are close up shots of the band members showing the audience who the artist is. Instead of just having the band perform on a black background it is made more quirky by using people dressed in black to move the members around, there is also the use of colour, balloons, text and instrument and band members moving and spinning showing they are not a normal boy band but have a more indie sound. The colours they band members are wearing also stand out against the black and adds to the vintage feel.

Editing

The video uses straight cuts throughout showing all band members. The straight cuts speed up when the tempo of the music does and fades to black act the end leave the band members the main focus. 

Narrative

The video doesn't have a narrative structure or characters but just has a main focus on the band members connoting it is just mainly about the band and the quirky style they represent. 

Advert;

The album poster includes the same title font and image as the album linking the two together. The poster includes a lot more information than most album posters with the tour dates and single releases. There is also a vintage effect on the poster making it more eye catching to a younger audience. The album name is in a bigger font than on the album cover making it more evident to the costumer. The 'Sold Out' text across the tour dates also helps show the bands popularity.
